SI:7 File #88973J
Subject: Darksong, Maeshkin

Description:

Race: Kaldorei (Ashenvale)
Height: Unknown (average for Kaldorei)
Skin: Pale
Hair: Light purple.
Age: Unknown (estimated at 5000+)
Distinguishing marks: Multiple scars on torso and legs. Massive repaired injury on back right side of skull. Unidentified infection in middle of chest cavity. Recent arm injury, self produced mithril arm brace from shoulder to wrist.
Known associations (past): Sentinels of Darnassus, Greater Army of the Alliance, The Ebon Blade, The Scourge.
Known associations (present): Kalimdor Collective (Commander), Armies of Legionfall, Illidari, The Kirin Tor of Dalaran, 7th Legion.

Distant past:
Darksong is rumored to be from Ashenvale, in Kalimdor. He was raised to be a fighter, but took on scholarly pursuits in his youth, and periodically through his life. Through his writings, we have gathered that he has been present for many major events throughout Azeroth’s history.

Recent Past:
Darksong took on the profession of mercenary and personal bodyguard for the Kaldorei nobility, leading him all over Azeroth. It is in these travels that he is rumored to have gained martial training from multiple disciplines.

It is in this line of work that we believe Darksong was travelling Stonetalon on an escort mission around the time of the Third War (details are yet unclear) and became one of the army of Scourge at the Lich King’s command. Darksong would spend the next years of his life as a skilled and loyal lieutenant in the Scourge Army, also gaining the powers of the feared Death Knights.

Following the Battle for Light’s Hope, Darksong found himself liberated from the Scourge, and quickly moved up the ranks of the Ebon Blade, again making his way to the rank of lieutenant. It is in this time we believe Darksong made contacts among the most skilled of Ebon Soldiers, from all walks of life. He may still be making use of these contacts to this day.

In a desire to return to his people, we believe Darksong staged an ambush of his own raiding party and was assumed to be in collusion with the Vrykul at this time. The Ebon Blade briefly believed Darksong had met his demise after this ambush, only to discover he had made it back to Kalimdor, wandering the outskirts of Teldrassil.

It is somewhere in this period that he encountered a T. Moonraven (File #8989P), and a T. Rainwhisper (File #564566R) who took him into their Kalimdor Collective, despite his condition. It was among this Collective that he gained the trust and loyalty of his allies, assisting and leading numerous missions throughout Azeroth. He would be later promoted to Hand of Command by Rainwhisper and later would take on Rainwhisper's position in his absence, leading to a permanent promotion to Commander.

Reason for concern:

Darksong has recently publicly denounced the Ebon Blade and claims to no longer have a connection with them, despite clearly still being a self-described “Twiceborne”. He is rumored to be among a network of operatives working throughout Azeroth (namely Kalimdor), their goal still remaining unclear.
He has openly questioned the Alliance forces, as well as called the legitimacy of the King of the Alliance into question. Darksong is to be considered subversive, and should be monitored closely.

Dakrsong has moved his unit into Darkshore in an official manner, and has been spotted with unknown individuals in the area. Motives unknown.

His allies in this “Collective” seem to be unaware, or uninvolved in any subversion on Darksong’s part and should be considered a non-threat until otherwise discovered.

Update: Friends and allies seem to be aware of his political leanings, many among his Collective seem motivated and eager to act on his order. Caution is advised when observing this unit.

Following the assault on Darkshore, Darksong was taken into custody by the 7th Legion for his outspoken criticism of the Alliance.

He would later escape under unknown circumstances and has returned to his post accordingly.

His criminal charges would be later cleared and expunged by [Classified]. There is no warrant for his arrest, but is to be monitored regardless.

Known allies:

Darksong keeps few friends, and trusts even fewer. However there are those that may be able to provide more information regarding any subversive activity.

G. Shorestrider (File#4879K): Pandaren, known confidant of Darksong for some years, and seemingly the only one remaining that knows him from before his time in the Scourge. Other associations: Kirin Tor of Dalaran, Bilgewater Cartel, Southsea Freebooters.

T. Rainwhisper (File #564566R): Commander of the Kalimdor Collective. Fierce ally of Darksong, and quite trusting of his tactics and leadership ability. Other associations: Cenarion Circle, Guardians of Hyjal.

Azaan (File # 87655A): Mistweaver, Achunaei taught Draenei, close advisor and Hand of Command. Residence: Stonetalon Mountains.

Dakkath (File #78856O): Ally of Darksong from their time in the Ebon Blade. Dakkath remains loyal to both the Ebon Blade and to Darksong. Highly likely to be a conspirator. Current rank: Advisor - Kalimdor Collective. Previous human identity unknown.

Duskmourne, Illyirana (File # 45329D) Titles: "Dame". Association: Ebon Blade, Keepers of the Moon. Postion: Hand of Command, Kalimdor Collective. Considered dangerous and well connected.
